Project 3 - City West Housing Trust

The Brief

City West Housing Trust and contractors Morrison’s and Enterprise PLC hired us to supply and install our award-winning communal entrance doors for several of their low-rise housing blocks across the city. The properties were in areas with a high-risk of crime and needed their doorways replacing with something tougher that fits the environment better. Plus, the residents wanted to reduce their utility bills and create a nicer place to live.

What We Did

We manufactured our high-security communal Power Frame entrance doors for the main contractors, and remained on site to assist with the installations. The doors are PAS 23 and 24 and Secured by Design accredited and are specifically built to withstand impact and tampering. And at the same time, the doors allow light in but retain heat inside the building.

We undertook a full site survey and installation of the doors, liaising with the door entry supplier to ensure that all of the timeframes were met, and all of the installations were completed and handed over on time. It also meant no communal blocks were left unsecured overnight.

The Result

Our doors are now in place across the city, and the tenants have reported an increased feeling of safety and security, and a better standard of living. The Power Frame doors allow better all-round vision so they can see who’s outside, and let light in to the corridors of the properties making them more welcoming.
