Total Glass supported a fund-raising cycle ride across Wales in aid of The Movement Centre, a charity which provides specialised physiotherapy for children with cerebral palsy.
The Liverpool-based PVC-U and aluminium fabricator was a shirt sponsor for the two-day ‘Peddling for Jac’ cycle ride, organised by long-standing customer Mark Blackwell, director of Anglesey-based DU Construction Ltd.
The 15-strong team of riders and support drivers completed the 135-mile ride safely from Gobowen Hospital in North Wales to Cardiff over the weekend of April 8 to 10 2016. They raised a total of nearly £20,000 – nearly double their original target.
It was the fifth charity bike ride for Mark who is raising money for treatment to help his three-year-old godson Jac walk unaided and live a normal active life.
Mark says: “We are delighted that Total Glass has supported us and their gesture is very much appreciated. Thanks to everyone who has donated so generously; they have helped us to really smash our original target.”
He added: “We all have hopes for Jac's progress through the centre’s Targeted Training programme and believe that whatever his potential is, the movement centre will help him fulfil it. It could be literally life-changing. We have raised enough to cover the cost of Jac's treatment, and anything over and above will help kids like him.”
Phill Cresswell, Total Glass Sales and Marketing Manager commented: ““Where possible, as a company we aim to support community and charity projects so we were only too happy to help. Congratulations to Mark and his team on their fantastic achievement!”For more information, contact Total Glass on 0151 549 2339 or visit the website at www.totalglass.com
